even though worlds away

I am with you
when I sleep
even though
I lie not
beside you

I feel your breath
against my neck
even though
you breathe not
upon me

I feel your hand around
my waist
even though
you touch me not

In this warm bed
we sleep
resting in each other’s dreams
even though
worlds away
