Welcome Home
The place that waits
"Do you know where Dorset is?"
"No, I'm not from around here."
"I used to be, a long time ago."
"Welcome home."
He peered out at the lakes and forests of his youth.
Recalled a life spent navigating sidewalks and skyscrapers
and realized
what he had been looking for had been there all along.
Though decades had passed,
he finally breathed easy.
He had arrived.
