Walk with Me
A call to old companions
The road has become long
and I am weary.
Friends of ages
have retreated to shadows
like leopards peering
from a dark orifice.
Alone I travel
the bumpy trail
on legs grown bony
with wear.
Come out and walk with
me again, old friend.
We are old
and haggard,
but the path
still long
and glorious.
Come out and walk
with me, my friend.
Walk with me
once again.
