Waiting for You
Two souls, one eternal night
In a thousand nights
I could only dream of a notion
of the beauty we shared this night
two souls, two bodies,
two human wanderers upon this earth,
touching hand in hand,
heart unto heart.
With all our parts
connected
for all the time
that will ever matter
or be of consequence.
I lie now waiting for you
to feel what we have felt
in our hearts
on our skin,
in our hands,
on our bellies,
in our swirling eyes,
in the motion
of our worlds.
