Together Drank

An elixir bottled from the heart

If I could bottle my love for thee,
extract it from my heart and very soul,
quite an extraordinary bottle of champagne
I would make.
It would be the elixir of all ills—
the most sought after
liquid of the earth known to man.
More than DeLeon's fountain,
it would be famed.
And like the Holy Grail, it would be
hidden away, lost to the ages.
Only in men's minds could they dream
of the taste which I found in thee,
together drank and threw out to sea.
