The Daddy Question

A question all fathers face.

Big brother calls daddy daddy.
Little brother calls daddy dad.
For a long time, neither big brother nor little brother called daddy anything at all.
When does a boy stop calling his daddy daddy?
When does a man start calling his daddy dad?
Maybe pa or papa is the solution, although they sound quite old-fashioned.
Too old-fashioned for the new generation.
So this daddy needs to settle for daddy, dad, or maybe nothing at all.
And we haven't even started talking about Mother yet!
