Restless Soul
A wanderer pauses beneath the Yellowwood trees.
Oh restless soul
wandering on green
green grass
the Earth is gentle
on your feet beneath
the Yellowwood trees.
Shade provides
a brief respite
from the madness
of the blaring world.
Tomorrow
ice cold mountains
glaciers
steep slopes of consequence without end
await
But for now
these limbs
provide refuge
within their
verdant forest
As the fluttering leaves
whisper
"Where are you going?
Why don't you stay?"
Even the restless soul
knows not the answer.
He only knows
that he must go.
