In Deep Water

An invitation to depth

Don't just wade in the shallow waters
where you must
watch your feet
and stay clear of sharp coral.
Widen your steps
and walk away
from the shore.
In deep water,
sink below the surface
to swim among the fish.
Rise up
to float
and rest
with the stars.
