Haleakala Bound
The distance between us.
I envy you your sunsets
Your dark rich amber
Your rings of flowers
Your brotherhood
The fire dance
painted flesh
strings of tooth and shell
coral cuts cleansed by sea and sun.
Cascades,
pools in oasis of palm.
Sit by them
because you are there
and I am here.
Sit by them.
Inhale and I will feel it
with your breath
into mine.
