Drink of Me
An invitation from the waxing moon
A city window
in front of
a waxing moon
that calls:
"Take more than glimpses.
Do more than sip.
Take me by the barrel."
Not from a prison cell
framed by wooden windows with blinds.
Drink of me from beneath the sails
on the high seas
from beneath palm fronds
from high atop mountain paths
through starlit nights
upon rolling desert dunes.
