Closing
An unknown morning hidden in dusk.
It was time.
She walked into the lighted
room.
Alone
Her feet against the cool tiles
the light shining from above.
An unknown morning
hidden in dusk.
She closed the door
leaving the world behind
cleansing herself
in streams of warmth
not sure if she’d ever return
watching the water
rushing through her pink toes,
swirling
swirling
swirling
down the drain.
