Abundance
The gold that ferries upon lapping waves.
All that sparkles is gold
when it sparkles upon the dappled seas.
There is no greater wealth,
no greater fortune,
than the gold that
ferries upon
lapping waves.
Try as you will
to hoard human prizes.
I wish you well.
Eventually you might join me on this bench
by a rocky crag,
and finally see
the abundance that has
been left for us all.
There's no need to try to possess it.
It is here for us all to cherish.
Sparkling atop the sea,
from mountaintops,
inside sunsets,
glowing from
knowing moons,
in the eyes
of all who see.
