A Home
A home found in love, step by shared step.
An endless coast
fades gently into a thread
sewn into a misty universe.
On fresh sand, I walk,
four strides abreast.
Small feet next to mine
making footprints anew.
Each step
washed away by
wind, waves, and tumbling foam.
Invisible footprints under a grey moon
On this beach,
I am bound.
Yet my home lies not upon these
windswept sands.
Only in the arms
of my sweet companion
have I found a resting place
and in our slow, humble strides,
a home.
